Tips For Holding Corporate Events on Long Island
Planning the perfect corporate event takes time, but it is nothing that can’t be done. Of course, the venue is one of the most important aspects of the event, but there are several things that go into planning a corporate event in Long Island that allow the event to reach its full potential. Chances are that after the location is picked and the date is set, you will start to plan and coordinate.
The goal of your corporate event is show employees and/or clients how much you appreciate and value them. For some events, people may feel as though dinner and dessert is enough to please guests, but the truth is, there are a lot of things that guests can be offered that will allow them to truly enjoy themselves and feel appreciated. Dinner and dessert is a start, but you should go above and beyond when planning your event.
The following are tips for holding the perfect corporate event:
Cocktail Hour
When guests first arrive to an event, it is a good idea to allow them time to mix and mingle with one another in a separate space or cocktail area. While at the office, people may be too busy working that they may not get a chance to interact with one another unless it is related to the business at hand. With a cocktail hour, every guest can get to know each other a little better while enjoying a few drinks. This will also allow for everyone to feel a bit more relaxed because the atmosphere will be more casual than what they are used to experiencing.
Dinner
Along with enjoying a few cocktails, guest of your corporate event may want to enjoy a good meal. This will be done in a different area than where the cocktail hour was held. During dinner, employees and/or clients will be able to once again mingled with one another and get to know each other in a casual atmosphere. It would be a good idea to assign seating so people who may not normally interact with each other get the chance to do so.
Dessert
As dinner comes to a close, guests will wrap up their conversation and move on to dessert, which will also be held in a separate room. With dessert being held in a separate area, this also allows for guest who have not yet gotten the chance to speak to one another to converse. By this point, there is a good chance that every guest has at least greeted each other or encourage a current relationship to grow.
Gifts
When people are at any type of event, they love to leave with a parting gift. Giving away gifts shows your guests that you appreciate their presence and are thankful for them taking time out of their busy schedules to show up to your corporate event. Ideally, this is also the time for you to promote your company and encourage people to spread the word about your business.
For any Long Island corporate event, following these four tips could help make your event a success. Not only does it allow guests to mingle and enjoy the casual atmosphere, it allows you to show your appreciation for employees and/or clients and continue to grow and maintain important relationships that will keep people coming back every year.
