Set a Budget
The conversation nobody wants to have needs to be done before planning anything wedding related. It should be clear between you, your spouse, and if they’re involved, your parents. Where to begin setting a workable Budget? Please utilize one of our complimentary Event Planners, they will help you choose vendors that suit your needs and your budget.
Make Your Guest List
Figuring out how many people you’re planning to host will help you decide on what venues to look into, based off their minimum and maximum capacities. Start with your immediate family members, closest friends, and go from there. Don’t forget to account for any +1’s you’re inviting as well!
Discuss a Date (Be flexible with it!)
When picking your wedding date do your best to be flexible with not only the actual date but also the day of the week. Many venues (us included) offer discounted rates for Thursday nights, as well as afternoon Weddings. Summertime is a perfect time to entice your guests to take that three day weekend. Afternoon Weddings are very budget friendly!
Gift Registry
Start thinking about where you want your gift registry to be. This will give you time to start picking things you’ll like and need but and helps your guests who are eager to start shopping. Limit your registry to 2-3 places so it’s easier to keep track of.
Look for a Photographer
You should begin looking for a photographer for both your engagement photos and wedding photos as soon as possible. Most of the really great photographers you might fall in love with on Instagram are already booked up months in advance because another bride beat you to it. This also ties back into deciding on a date.
Start Thinking of Your Bridal Party
We know you’ve had your maid of honor and bridesmaids planned in your head for years but now it’s time to make it official! Think of a cute way to ask your besties how to stand by your side on your big day and get them included ASAP. They’re just as eager to start planning your bachelorette, as you are your wedding!
Pick Color Schemes
After you pick your date and know what season you’ll say “I Do”, begin looking into what kind of color scheme fit you and your fiancés vision best. Keep in mind these colors are often reflected in your bridesmaids and groomsmen’s attire.
